COVE - The body of Jaana the Druid was found last night near the outskirts of Cove. Jaana was one of the famous traveling companions of G.U.F. presidential candidate the Avatar. The cause of death is unknown at this time. Robo Press has obtained crime scene photos which are very graphic and may be inappropriate for small children and pre-molting creatures.
In some of the leaked photos there appears to be vials containing some sort of fluid that our experts have identified as Silver Serpent Venom. Silver Serpent Venom is a controlled substance that is illegal to own or distribute without a permit from the Britannia government. It is unknown if Jaana possessed a permit for Silver Serpent Venom. Calls to the Britannia Office of Alcohol, Herbs, and Armaments were not returned.
Local constable Sentri has been appointed overseer of a team that will investigate the cause of Jaana's death. "At this time we have very little information to offer to the people of Britannia and would ask any citizen or gargoyle who believes that they may have any information pertinent to this case to contact us immediately," Sentri told members of the media gathered this morning. At another press conference later in the day the constable stated, "We have received some information about a possible person of interest who may have information relating to the death of Jaana the Druid. This person is described as a wingless gargoyle, with red skin, who is average gargolye height, and average gargoyle weight. If you have any information about the identity or whereabouts of this gargoyle of interest please contact us through 555-TIPS."
Jaana was a steadfast companion of the Avatar through many of his adventures in Britannia. The Avatar was informed of Jaana's death this morning and released the following statement, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of a great friend and fellow adventurer. Jaana was an inspiration to Druids everywhere and I shall see to it that her legacy shall be passed down to future generations. I have offered my services to the officials investigating Jaana's death and I would be willing to suspend my campaign and return to Britannia if I am needed. May the Virtues stand by your side and in your heart."
