Claims of Undocumented Workers Putting Heat on the Overlord

Lucca

Sounds like the Overlord is not as feared as he would like.

Overlord in Trouble

SOME FANTASY LAND - The Overlord is drawing criticisms from the Fantasy Employment Union for the "questionable employment status" of some of his minions. "We feel that the Overlord is allowing undocumented workers to perform most of his evil tasks in an attempt to circumvent fair labor wages and proper taxation. These actions undercut tax-paying residents and place an undue burden upon the regional economies in which the Overlord operates," F.E.U. spokeswoman Hilga Brunna told reporters.

A response from the Overlord was not available but minion Gnarl did release a statement deriding the F.E.U.'s actions as "cowardly and self-serving attempts by a bunch of pansy do-gooders."

Illegal workers have become a polarizing issue in the ongoing presidential race with the Avatar calling for a nationalized ID-card system to track all game character's employments. Presidential candidate Cyrus has criticized the proposed system as "state-sponsored slavery."

Local reaction to the accusations has been mixed. "They steal from us, kill us, and do who knows what with the ones they drag off, who cares if they pay taxes? If they needed to pay anything they would just take it from us anyway," said a resident who wished to remain anonymous. When asked how the undocumented minions were impacting the local economy another resident replied, "I really don't think it ain't anything to be worried about. When these things get sick they don't go to no emergency room. They just die."
